The UO Poet Society

UO Poet Society is a student-founded creative collective at the University of Oregon centered on poetry, storytelling, and live performance.

As a co-founder and marketing lead, I built the organization’s brand, voice, and growth strategy from the ground up.

I led social media and event marketing efforts that grew the Instagram presence to 150+ followers within the first six months and scaled event attendance from single digits to 50+ attendees per event. I partnered with creative leads and campus organizations to promote events, manage logistics, and deliver a consistent, community-driven brand experience.

This role required hands-on experience in brand storytelling, audience growth, content strategy, and campaign execution, directly mirroring the responsibilities of professional community and brand marketing roles.
